Nell'ultimo decennio il pubblico vastese ha perso di vista un'arzilla vecchietta dal nome ''Za Marè'' che con le sue acute osservazioni aveva collaborato, alla fine degli anni '80, con il periodico ''VastoNotizie'' di Nicola D'Adamo. Rimasta sola, Za Marè si è trasferita a Perth presso un nipote. Alla sua veneranda età ha imparato l'Inglese e l'Informatica (ma non l'Italiano, la terza ''I'' voluta dalla Moratti non vale per gli Italiani all'estero) e a navigare in Internet. Ovviamente le moderne tecnologie e i cosiddetti ''portapillastre'' di Vasto (in inglese ''chikenporter''), con cui è collegata in tempo reale, le danno la possibilità di seguire i fatti locali meglio di noi e di scrivere i suoi sagaci commenti, in puro dialetto vastese (per chi conosce questo idioma) e in lingua inglese per i lettori di tutto il mondo.
